This week, Pastor Chris kicked off a powerful new series from the book of Hebrews titled Victorious Jesus. Throughout this series, we will dive into the supremacy of Jesus, discovering how He is not only God but the ultimate source of power, glory, and significance. Jesus is not just our Savior—He is Lord!
Supremacy ~ It means that Jesus is God, and that he is the ultimate in power, glory, and importance.
Hebrews 8:1 (ESV)
1 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
- Those who belong to the New Covenant…
- Dwell in a completely new and heavenly atmosphere.
- Worship a heavenly Savior.
- Have a heavenly calling.
- Receive a heavenly gift.
- Are citizens of a heavenly country.
- Look forward to a heavenly Jerusalem.
- Have their very names written in heaven.

3 Distinct Groups of Jews
- Believers (Knowledge, Agreement, Commitment).
- Unbelievers who were intellectually convinced of the gospel (Knowledge & Agreement).
Hebrews 6:4–6 (ESV)
4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
Hebrews 10:26 (ESV)
26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
- Unbelievers who were attracted by the gospel with no final conviction about Him (Some Knowledge).
Hebrews 9:14–15 (ESV)
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. 15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
